Dieses erschreckende, aber historisch bedeutende Bauwerk wurde aus den Sch\u00e4deln serbischer Krieger errichtet, die 1809 in der Schlacht von \u010cegar gefallen sind. Der damalige osmanische Kommandant Hur\u0161id-Pascha befahl den Bau als abschreckende Warnung an die lokale Bev\u00f6lkerung nach einem gescheiterten Aufstand gegen den Sultan. Dieses einst luxuri\u00f6se Vorortgebiet der antiken Stadt Naissus, dem heutigen Ni\u0161, wurde Ende des 3. und Anfang des 4.
